The Fairest Lover
What an honor to love one like a queen, so fair,
With dark brown eyes and flowing red hair.
Dressed always so modest, and gorgeous the same.
With intent to have beauty, but not ever to be vain.
A shirt and silk scarf, blue with black like the night
A skirt past the knees, long and lit by moonlight.
A smile so brilliant, shining just like the stars.
You're certain to be loved, wherever you are.
A single short glance from a man passing by
Would make him stop in his tracks, with his mouth open wide.
Like Solomon's book of the Bible, I admire the glow,
From the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
Such radiant beauty is yours, I'm left standing in awe.
But one kiss from your mouth and I can taste what I saw.
Like a spoonful of honey, and lips of silk so smooth.
I keep finding myself, ever more in love with you.
Your passion runs deep, and your age so young
As strong as the rivers, and as bright as the sun.
Below the surface is a greater thing to be found
That internal beauty and love that astounds.
What an honor to love you, oh lady, my darling Audrey so fair.
Who is as kind and as beautiful, I say none can compare.
